The Mute Swan survey began in 2002 as an initial investigation into the nesting location of a pair of Swans frequenting the River Avon at Guy’s Cliffe.

This gradually grew as more nests were located along the river and the Grand Union Canal. Between 2006 and 2011 13 nest locations have been identified in the Warwick area with half being used each year.

All sightings of Swans are added to the database which now stands at over 231 seperate individuals and 1200 observations. Most data is added by several seasonal survey sessions of all waterways in the study area.

If you have seen a swan in the survey area (see map) and want to contribute your sighting then please submit your sightings via the available form.
